Fit Feast-ival program held Sunday

Health Works Kids Museum teamed up with the new Whole Foods Market's Kids Club Sunday, all to promote a healthy lifestyle.

The event was aimed toward children, who played games outside to learn about fitness and eating healthy. Memorial Hospital and the Kohl's Fit Feast-ival program had activities designed to teach kids and their parents about nutrition and making good decisions.

"Part of what we're trying to do is educate kids so they can possibly influence their parents to make those healthy choices,” explained Jacqueline Simmons of a manager of Health Works in Mishawaka. “To show how easy it can be really because I think people have this whole perception that "whoa" it’s so hard, but if we just go back to basics of fresh and green and making our own food."

The Whole Foods "Whole Kids Club" is to support and inspire families to improve their overall wellness.
