One festival that ran Saturday sounded nice and smooth. From noon til the stroke of midnight, ten national jazz acts will take to four different stages spread all across DTSB, belting-out soulful jams.
The first South Bend event of its kind, peaks at 7 p.m. when well known Pianist and Signer Joe McBride, performs beats from the likes of John Mayer, Seal and Coldplay.
"We're bringing a European-style, world class jazz festival for the first time in we hope to do this every year. It's not just a concert, it's a party," said Danny Lerman Director of the South Bend Jazz Festival.
Saturday's got underway only after Mayor Pete Buttigieg "threw out" the first note.
