Three died and a fourth was hospitalized Friday afternoon after two cars collided in LaGrange County.
LaGrange County police dispatchers said crews responded to scene of the crash on U.S. 20 between C.R.1150 West and North C.R. 1200 West at around 2:30 p.m.
Police say a white four-door car was heading east when it crossed over the center line in an attempt to pass another vehicle. However, the car ended up colliding nearly head-on with an oncoming pickup truck.
The three male passengers inside the white car were killed but their names have not yet been released pending family notification. The driver of the pickup, Andrew Nutbrown, 43, of Quebec was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.
As officials from the county and the state worked to clear the crash, U.S. 20 was shut down for about three and a half hours.
