The end of summer is near, but some outdoor festivals are soaking up the last bit of the season.
The 30th Annual Bonneyville Celebration in Bristol brought out plenty of people hoping to check out local artists and also have a good time.
Bands played throughout the day and kids got the chance to try their hand at activities like candle-making and rope walking.
Th festival is staple summer event for many families, who say the homegrown feel of the celebration makes it that much more special.
“I think it's a good tradition to do,” said Patt Johnson. “I started with my children, now it’s the grandchildren. It just makes it fun and interesting and there’s something new every year.”
“It’s just your down home folks and everybody is just from the area and you get to see people you know,” added Pat Parker.
The Bonneyville Mill was the backdrop for the event. It is the oldest continually operating gristmill in Indiana.
