Elkhart County Sheriff's Dept. looking into string of suspicious fires

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department is looking into two suspicious fires that happened this past weekend.

On Sunday morning the Middlebury Fire Department was called out to a fire at a house and vehicle at Hilltop Drive.

While deputies from the Sheriff’s Department were investigating the fire, a second suspicious fire was reported at a home, also on Hilltop Drive.

According to the Elkhart County Sherriff’s Department, detectives and the state fire marshal are working on this case and other suspicious fires that have occurred in the area over the past several months.
