Some Elkhart students are also reaching out to the Newtown community in the wake of last week's tragedy.
Second, Third and Fourth graders at Woodland Elementary School made 82 paper snowflakes to send to survivors of the shooting.
It's part of a national campaign sponsored by the Connecticut PTA. The group's goal is to collect enough snowflakes to create a Winter Wonderland for Sandy Hook students when they return to school in a new building, and send a message of comfort and support.
