An Elkhart businessman will not be able to leave jail before his trial, because prosecutors say he's too much of a flight risk.

James LeDonne, 59, faces 17 charges, including bankruptcy and mail fraud.

According to our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth, prosecutors said they believed LeDonne was an economical danger to the community.

That is because LeDonne is accused in a scheme to trick customers who placed orders with his business, Paragon Technologies.

Court documents say LeDonne required deposits of up to 50-percent on orders, then never delivered the products.

He would allegedly file for bankruptcy to avoid refunding customers.
