The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department is investigating its fifth armed robbery at a tobacco store in the last nine days.
The latest incident happened Sunday around 6:45 p.m. at Low Bob's Discount Tobacco along State Road 19, near Simonton Lake.
Police say an employee was robbed by two white males who came into the store and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, and cartons of cigarettes.
The suspects left in a black or dark colored Chrysler, driven by a third white male.
The men are described as white, wearing black hoodies and bandanas covering their faces.
On Saturday two men with similar descriptions robbed Stogie's Discount Tobacco in the 30000 block of Old US 20.
And then on Friday Jan. 25, two tobacco stores, 500 feet apart, were robbed along State Road 19 near Simonton Lake. In both cases, two white men with bandanas held up the stores.
