Edwardsburg police to hold an event for officer with cancer

EDWARDSBURG, Mich. - An Edwardsburg police officer has given back to the community for many years, and now he needs help.

Officer Brian Robinson, a 25-year veteran of the Ontwa Township- Edwardsburg force, is battling stage four cancer, and has been undergoing treatment in South Bend.

His next step is to spend three weeks at the University of Michigan Medical Center for three weeks of treatment.

This weekend, the Edwardsburg Police Department is hosting a spaghetti dinner and auction to help Officer Robinson.

The benefit will be held Saturday from 3-8 p.m. at the American Legion.
