Education officials accept Coloma MEAP scores

Good news for parents and students in a southwest Michigan school district.

Michigan education officials have decided to accept last fall's MEAP scores that were previously ruled invalid

According to our reporting partners at the Herald Palladium, the state says Coloma Elementary did several questionable things, leading up to and during the MEAP tests; but an independent review team met with officials from the school and a lawyer and decided to let the scores stand.

They did order Coloma schools staff to undergo additional training.
