Heisman winner Eddie George is among those who will be inducted into the college football hall of fame this weekend.
On Friday, he stopped by to visit kids at memorial hospital in South Bend.
He said he went right to the hospital after his flight landed.
George is no stranger to bringing joy into the lives of people dealing with some sort of illness.
“It's something I’ve done throughout my playing career, just to make a difference to them in their lives and their daily struggle whatever their dealing with, whatever their ailments may be,” George said.
Adding, “Just to provide some good energy, to share a few stories, to make them laugh. They may not even know who I am, but just taking the time out to show that you care. That means a lot.”
Eddie George played for Ohio State and won the Heisman Trophy in 1995.
We'll have more on the college football hall of fame enshrinement festival coming up at six.
