It was an event to celebrate the Lincoln legacy, and among pieces of history, presidential carriages and other memorabilia, folks came out to the Studebaker National Museum to celebrate Abraham Linoln’s birthday Friday night.

The museum hosted its second “Drinkin’ with Lincoln” event. The night was filled with authentic nineteenth century cocktails like Mississippi Punch, beer and wine supplied by Granite City and Fiddler’s Hearth, in addition to warm appetizers.

Guests had a chance to take a peek at the museum’s exhibits after hours to the backdrop of live music.

According to Andrew Beckman, an archivist at the Studebaker National Museum there was a tremendous showing at the event, “At least half the crowd here the first time.” Beckman also noted that many of the guests were surprised at all the museum had to offer like the largest collection of presidential carriages.

The Studebaker National Museum has several other unique events planned for this year including an upcoming trivia night on March 9.
