Drewrys returns to South Bend

A historic brew which many folks probably remember drinking 40 years ago is coming back to South Bend.

Drewrys Brewing Company is returning to its roots, reviving the brand not seen since November of 1972.

Drewrys was brewed in the Muessel Brewing Complex for nearly 40 years before it was bought out by G. Heileman Brewing Company. Reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth report that Drewrys will start rolling bottles off the line again this year.

Drewrys will participate in Brewfest 2013, January 12 at the Century center.
