DOWAGIAC, Mich.--- A grocery store fire sent two people to the hospital today.

Firefighters were called just before 11 a.m. to Harding's Market in Dowagiac.

Employees evacuated customers while another worker battled the small fire in the back room with an extinguisher.

That worker was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation.

A firefighter was also hurt after falling. He was taken to the hospital and has since been released.

Investigators believe the fire sparked with a faulty light fixture.
