Doctor's license gets suspended after drug and sex crimes

The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs suspended a Michiana physician’s license and could revoke it, after he pled guilty to sedating a woman with sleeping medication and then having sex with her after she passed out.

55-year-old Dr. Paul Miluk pleaded guilty to attempted delivery of a controlled to commit criminal sexual conduct, criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree, and false report of a felony.

According to the police report, in October 2012, a woman said while spending time with Miluk, she started noticing a bitter taste in a mixed drink he would serve her.

She says she would take a few sips and begin to feel “out of it”.

She would wake up the next morning, not remember anything, but says she could feel the physical effects from intercourse from that night.

The same thing happened again on October 19, 2012, October 26 and on November 3, but the last time was different.

She says she walked in on Miluk making the drink and noticed he crumpled up a piece of paper and threw it in the trash.

That same evening she drank the drink and passed out like usual not remembering anything.

The next day, she went into the kitchen, grabbed the piece of paper, took it to the lab and after testing found out the substance was a narcotic sleeping aid.

More evidence came after she placed a pen camera in the kitchen. She was able to record Miluk on March 1, 2013 as he put something in her glass prior to adding alcohol.

Mulik also pleaded guilty to false report of a felony.

That happened on May 29, 2013 when Miluk reported that two people broke into his home, trashed belongings and stole and iPad, laptop, and $300.

He later admitted that he made the home invasion up saying he was sorry for wasting officers’ time.

According to our reporting partners at the Herald Palladium, Miluk is free on $25,000 bond and $5,000 bond.

As part of the plea agreement, he will not serve time in prison but could be sentenced to jail for a year or less.

He's scheduled to appear in court this coming Monday, for sentencing.
