Digger Phelps took the stage as Mother Ginger at ND basketball game

When it comes to hamming it up to get a smile out of kids and adults alike look no further. At Wednesday night's Notre Dame-Baylor basketball game, Notre Dame Coaching Legend Digger Phelps took the stage as "Mother Ginger" in the Nutcracker.
Every year the Southold Dance Theater puts on the show at the Morris Performing Arts Center. 170 local performers take part in the holiday classic. This is the seventh straight year that Digger has performed in the role. The show is this Saturday and Sunday.
