CEO's talk cyber risk management at forum

Gibson Insurance hosted its 4th annual Cyber Risk Management Forum at the Gillespie Conference Center in South Bend Thursday.

Several insurance CEO's and other top-level executives from the area were there to present ideas on how to keep data safe from cyber-attacks.

Organizers say an important take-away is to stay proactive in centralizing data and to minimize emails containing sensitive information.

Another major topic of discussion was cell phones.
"Mobile is just big,” said Craig Sroda, Pinnacle CEO. “I mean, the Y-generation is very connected and they do not tolerate paper, documents. They really don't want to be hand-writing anything, so video conferencing and mobile. “

Organizers say that it is clear how technology has changed, even since five years ago, so it is important to stay organized and make sure all staff is on the same page about how data is shared and exchanged.
