ELKHART COUNTYc An Elkhart County Cub Scout troop is out more than $5,000. Their cub master, Nicole Taylor, is accused of spending all the money earned in last fall's popcorn sales.

Pack 762 is now scrambling to come up with the money to keep their troop afloat.

The Elkhart Truth reports that the pack plans to sell popcorn at Lowe's in Goshen on Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30. An account called "Boy Scouts of America Pack 762 Fundraising Account" has been set up at 1st Source Bank for anyone who wishes to donate to the pack.

Taylor reportedly spent the money at fast food restaurants. She told detectives she intended to pay it back but wasn’t able to. She is scheduled in court April 2nd.
