It's been nearly 15 years since a mother of two was shot and killed in her own home.

On September 9, 1999, Elkhart police responded to a shooting at 668 W. Lexington St.

Upon their arrival, officers were informed Marlys Harper, 28, had been shot.

They found a woman performing CPR on Harper near the back door of the hom.

Harper was taken to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

No one has been arrested in connection to her case.

Lt. Cindy Kilgore with Michiana Crime Stoppers stopped by WNDU to talk about this case.

She talked about how Harper's young son was the one who found his mother.

Anyone with information in this case should call 574-288-STOP.
