Crews have begun removing the fuselage of the plane that crashed into three South Bend homes Sunday afternoon.
Local police and fire crews are assisting NTSB officials with the effort.
Investigators have called in experts on the plane's frame and engine to help them look for safety issues that might have contributed to the crash.
The fuel in the area was already cleaned up and safety officials say there is no danger to residents of the neighborhood.
