A church is hoping to bring together the Benton Harbor community.
The church, called Overflow, held its first services Sunday morning at their brand new location on East Napier.
The church moved from Celebration Cinema after four years of services.
It is a modern church, so even the new building has a modern look on the outside and inside with flat screens and leather couches.
Organizers say they welcome real people from any background or belief to join in services.
One of the assistant pastors says they really hope to bring the community together through their new home.
"Well, we are a church for all people. We seek to build bridges into our community,” said Carolyn O'Connor, Administrator and Assistant Pastor. “When our lead pastor came here, he saw it as building bridges between Benton Harbor and St. Joseph. Because we live in a community that is very divided. And so, being a church for all people says that regardless of your race, your background, your economic status, your class, even where you work and even your past, we know that we serve and follow a God who is for all people."
Services will continue every Sunday at 9:31 a.m. and 11:31 a.m..
O'connor said the church has it’s services at those unusual times so that people don’t forget when they are.
