A shooting, turned car crash landed the victim in the hospital. Now one month later, the suspect has been charged.

Back on April 12, 29-year-old Shay Kelly and a passenger were leaving a store in the 300 block of Pipestone Street in Benton Harbor when a gunman approached their vehicle and opened fire.

They fled the scene, crashing into another car along the way.

Police say 26-year-old Jamaal Roseburgh shot Kelly three times.

He was already on parole for drug charges dating back to 2011, and he now faces four new charges, including assault with intent to murder. He's being held in the Berrien County Jail on a quarter of a million dollars bond.
