Charges filed after Mishawaka drug raid that put schools on lockdown

Mishawaka, Ind. Charges have been filed against one of a handful of people arrested in connection with Thursday's police raid on an alleged drug house in Mishawaka.

Quinton Ferguson, 24, is facing three felonies: dealing heroin and cocaine, and having drugs while in possession of a firearm.

He's currently being held on $10,000 bond.

The state requested a higher than standard amount based on Ferguson's prior criminal history.

Six of the seven people arrested are in their 20's.

The others are accused of visiting a common nuisance.

Two nearby schools were placed on lockdown as the SWAT team entered the home at the corner of South Main and East 6th streets, south of downtown.

One person who works near the home said it was not uncommon for groups of visitors to come and go every 15 minutes.
