Charges could be coming for teens who abused a pit-bull puppy

Elkhart County, Ind. We might see charges in the animal abuse case that resulted in the death of female pit-bull in Elkhart, after a firecracker was thrown in her face.

Elkhart Police say they officially turned over the case to the Elkhart County Prosecutor's Office. Police say a couple of teens gave a lit firework to a female pit-bull puppy.

Witnesses saw the incident and called police, but didn't come forward with a statement. A short time later, the humane society of the United States offered a $5,000 reward.

Now the Prosecutor’s Office will decide if the juveniles will be charged.
