October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and it’s hard to ignore all of the events and fundraisers in the community.

Women are getting together at Elkhart General Hospital Thursday night for an evening of relaxation, beauty, and to support the cause.

It’s Elkhart General's third annual Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Open House.

Women can receive free screenings, plus for just a 10 dollar donation, women can get pink hair extensions from the Beauty Shoppe!

In a true celebration of women's R&R, manicures and massages are also on the table.

In another Breast Cancer Awareness month event, Bras Around the Bend also hits South Bend Thursday, with some pretty unique brassieres on display at Le Peep downtown.

Tickets are on sale for 25 dollars, and the event includes a cash bar. Plus the brassiere art is up for auction.

Proceeds go towards providing medicine, wigs, bras anything else cancer patients might need to get through the battle.
