It was an early morning wake-up call for a family in Elkhart County when a car crashed into their home, and it appears that both the driver and the passenger, 16, may have been drinking.
It happened shortly before 3 a.m. in the 13-thousand block of State Road 4.
Police say Myron Schrock, 20, was driving west in Elkhart County when his car veered off the road and hit the house on State Road 4.
He failed a sobriety test and refused to take a breathalyzer at the county lockup.
Shrock was charged with driving drunk and driving with a suspended license and is in jail tonight.
His passenger was taken to Indiana University Goshen Hospital complaining of head pain. He is also in trouble for illegally consuming alcohol.
