A classic car show that was held today raised $7,500 to help improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities.

Van Horne Jewelers in Granger hosted the "Fathers for Hannah and Friends Cruise-In" this afternoon.

Those who stopped by were able to bid on unique jewelry pieces, as well as enjoy music and food provided by Villa Macri.

Former Notre Dame football coach Charlie Weis, and his wife Maura created the Hannah and Friends charity and living community.

Their daughter, Hannah, is the inspiration for the group. She has Global Development Delays.

"There are so many kids and adults that need homes. Once they age out of the school system, they have to live somewhere. Parents want their kids to have a life. I wanted Hannah to have a life," Maura said.

"Her life was going downstairs and watching videos after school and after awhile I was like that's not good enough for my daughter or any other kid."

Money raised from today's event benefits those seeking help from Hannah and Friends.
