Sentencing for bus driver's sexual relationship with student

The sentencing scheduled for a former bus driver convicted of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old has been postponed.

Monisha Simpson, 32, has been driving for the South Bend school corporation since 2006.

Court documents indicate that she was assigned to the Clay High School football team last August, and around that time she began spending time with one of her students at her home.

Officials say the alleged sexual encounters took place at Simpson’s home. Sentencing for her relationship with the minor is now scheduled for December 6, 2012.
