Mishawaka, Ind. Strong winds from Wednesday night's storms ripped a roof off JPD Controls, Inc. in Mishawaka.
The damage forced the 100 block of Mishawaka Avenue to close for about two hours as crews cleaned up the debris.
When the roof came off the building, it brought several tree branches and limbs down, too.
"A big gust of wind picked up and here comes the roof, just blowing over into the road and went right into the street," said Terra Miller, who was walking nearby.
Luckily, no one was inside the buidling at the time and no one on the street was injured.
"It's a little trippy," said Sean Sink, who was also walking in the area. "You don't see stuff like that everyday. It was kind of scary at first."
JPD makes electronic components, so the building houses manufacturing equipment and many electronics.
The building owner tells NewsCenter 16 much of the machinery has significant water damage, but the offices remain intact.
He's hopeful insurance will cover the damage.
