South Bend police are still investigating two shootings that happened just minutes apart on the city's West side Saturday night.
Police were called to the first shooting at discount liquor on West Sample Street just before 11 p.m. Saturday.
They said a woman was shot three times while sitting in the car with her son in the parking lot.
She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled in a van immediately after the shooting.
The second shooting happened five minutes later at Portage Liquor Mart.
Police said it was a robbery gone "bad" when a clerk was shot in the mouth.
The clerk is a man in his mid 20s.
The suspect fled on foot but police are attempting to make an identification from surveillance video.
The clerk is also expected to make a full recovery.
