Board game collector giving away his games to help others

An avid collector is giving away his treasure trove of board games, to help make others' Christmas a little brighter.

This South Bend resident goes by the name of Tim the Gameboard Guru. He's been collecting games since he was a child, and has accumulated more than 2,500 of them. 1,500 of them are unique. There are 50 different versions of monopoly, dating back to 1936.

Tim says he realized his collection was growing out of control, and now wants to give the games away, to help families spend quality time together.

“I believe electronics and video games have ruined communication between parents and their children,” says board game collector Tim. “We need to sit down with our kids, interact with them and talk to them about what's going on.”

If you're interested in Tim's vintage games, you can search for The Gameboard Guru on Amazon, Facebook, and Twitter. To contact Tim, just email GameBoardGuru@yahoo.com or call 574-383-5188.
