First responders say a woman is lucky to have only minor injuries after crashing into a pole in South Bend on Monday.
It happened just before 6 p.m. on Mishawaka Ave. just west of Beyer Avenue.
First responders say it appears that the woman's tire blew out, causing her to slam into a nearby pole.
She was trapped inside the car until firefighters arrived and pulled her out.
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
