A Benton Harbor city commissioner spent some time behind bars this past weekend.
David Shaw was arrested Friday night for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Police were called to the 900 block of Pipestone after a noise complaint and crowd control at a new bar. That is where police found Shaw reportedly flailing his arms toward his wife sitting in a car.
Officers believed it may be a possible assault and investigated.
Police say Shaw became hostile when they tried to arrest him for disturbing the peace. He was eventually taken into custody and posted $750 bond early Saturday morning.
