Keith Lintz, 28, was arraigned in a Cass County courtroom Thursday morning.
He faces two felony murder charges and carrying a firearm to commit a felony.
Lintz was arrested in Niles on Wednesday afternoon at his Grandma's house in connection with the murders of John and Carolyn Tarwacki.
In February 2010, the Tarwackis were found murdered in their home just outside of Niles.
Cass County Prosecutor Victory Fitz denied LIntz's bond. Fitz said that John Tarwacki was brutally killed with ten stab wounds and two gun shot wounds and Carolyn had four stab wounds and two gun shot wounds and was beaten severely on the face.
They were married for three years and known as a popular and fun-loving couple, without any problems or enemies.
According to the 2010 autopsy, the couple died from "violent means involving weapons by a single assailant."
In the more than two years since the murder, police have received hundreds of leads.
Recently, Cass County Prosecutor Victor Fitz turned the investigation over to the state attorney general's office.
With their help, a "person of interest" was identified in January.
No word on if that person was Lintz.
NewsCenter 16 discovered Wednesday Lintz has been arrested at least a dozen times in Michiana - in both Berrien and St. Joseph counties.
