SOUTH BEND Police responded to an armed robbery call early Wednesday morning at the Phillips 66 station on Ewing and Ironwood in South Bend. But what they thought was a major threat, turned out to be just a misunderstanding.

95.3 FM reports that dozens of officers showed up to the scene, guns drawn, only to find out the woman who reported the robbery had overheard and misunderstood a conversation about the potential for a robbery.

The owner of the gas station says the conversation was a joke.
