Armed home invaders target South Bend house with two boys home alone inside

Home invaders targeted a South Bend residence when two children were home alone on Friday night.

Shortly after their mother left for work at around 10 p.m., a 13 year-old boy and his 11 year-old brother say they heard a noise at the back door of their house in the 100 block of North Sandie St. in South Bend.

When they went to see what the sound was, they saw three men standing there with guns.

The suspects, described as one white man and two black men wearing dark clothing and rags over their faces, ordered the boys to get into the living room.

The two brothers ran upstairs, but it does not appear the suspects got away with anything.
