Folks from all across Michiana traveled to Berrien Springs Wednesday to help the environment, and get rid of all the electronic clutter piling up in their homes.
Andrews University, along with Green Earth Recycling, hosted their annual recycling event Wednesday evening.
The four-hour drop-off gave community members and area businesses a way to get rid of all their old gizmos and gadgets the right way.
People brought out computers, tools, TV's and even curling irons to dispose of on campus.
Some came from as far away as Elkhart just to make sure their unwanted devices do not end up in the landfill.
“We just take recycling very seriously. We try to do what we can, when we can, and I've been waiting for a major drop-off,” said Marian Seevers, Elkhart resident. “We have been setting aside computer monitors, old TV's, basically anything with a cord, and it has been stockpiling for several months, and today was the day to just load it up and bring it in.”
If you missed out, the college will be holding another e-recycling event in mid-April of 2012.
