Riders no longer have to leave their bicycle behind when traveling across Michiana by train.

Amtrak has announced that bicycles will now be accepted on its Blue Water line-- which runs between Port Huron and Chicago.

Rail cars have been updated to carry up to four bikes without dis-assembly.

There's a $10 charge.

Amtrak officials say they want to offer a new opportunity for Michigan cities, where bike travel is popular.
