We have new information about a moped accident in Marshall County last weekend that left one man dead.

It happened in the 8700 block of 19th Rd. last Saturday night.

According to toxicology reports released Friday, Jack Moriarty, 46, of Argos had both drugs and alcohol in his system when he crashed his moped into a fence post.

He wasn't wearing a helmet and was killed instantly.

Marshall County Coroner Bill Cleavenger said there was evidence at the scene that Moriarty was impaired at the time of the accident.

But testing had to be done first to confirm that before results could be released.
