Local bagel shop puts on Public Service Appreciation Week

Bagels and coffee for a good cause!

Einstein Brothers Bagels is celebrating local heros all week long by offering free food and specials for the first annual Public Service Appreciation Week.

The event kicked off Monday and extends through Friday offering free coffee and soda, discounts on sandwiches and a family fun night to recognize the time families of fire and police officers put in too.

Michael and Melissa Newton are the owners of the local shop and are excited to honor our local public servants. While they recognize Einstein is a national franchise, they are doing their part to localize their Einstein with events such as this.

Coming up, Einstein will also host National Coffee Week, Veterans week and medical week where professionals in those fields will receive discounts and recognition for their services.

The location also donates dozens of bagels to local hospitals, and "day-olds" to community shelters.

Police officers and firefighters from all surrounding areas are invited to Einstein to take part in the community recognition. The station with the highest turnout will receive a free catered breakfast at their station.
