If you are feeling stressed out you are not alone.

One in three adults has high blood pressure related to stress but there is an alternative to medication.

A life-long smoker, Karri Lynn reached her breaking point.

She wanted to quit and avoid taking medications and now, she is a firm believer in laser acupuncture.

When you think about acupuncture, you probably think about needles.

“Well, modern day acupuncture uses lasers, they are pain-free and it cuts the procedure time in half," says Dr. Susana Mendez.

Doctor Susana Mendez sees patients at Aqua Medical Spa in Dallas.

She says the laser triggers the body's own healing response and restores its natural balance

Dr. Susana Mendez, Acupuncturist says, "By stimulating this point, the patients feel more calm more relaxed and in tune with themselves."

Karri’s been getting treatments twice a week for three weeks and says she has cut cravings and is sleeping better than ever.

Karri Lynn says, "Just be able to be focused more on holistic ways to diffuse instead of unhealthy ways to diffuse"

Laser acupuncture is approved by the FDA to treat pain treatments range from 60 to 80 dollars.
