People in Casnovia, Michigan are back in their homes Thursday night after a bomb scare.
Emergency crews blocked off roadways Wednesday afternoon to keep residents away from a car containing what appeared to be seven sticks of dynamite wired to an alarm clock.
The car was parked in the driveway of a home.
After an investigation, police determined that the device was a novelty item and posed no danger.
It turns out the alarm clock belonged to a teenager who lives at the house.
The scare caused about 40 people to evacuate their homes.
