Swapping out steak for soy may help women lower their blood pressure.

In a new study, researchers had 60 postmenopausal women follow a healthy diet.

One group received 25 grams of their daily protein intake from soy nuts, rather than a non-soy food.

They found the women eating soy nuts had lower blood pressure levels at the end of the study.

Some women who had high cholesterol also saw an improvement.

Experts say adding soy nuts to a healthy diet may be an easy way to lower blood pressure, but more studies are needed.
