Six people are behind bars after what police are calling the largest heroin bust in Kosciusko County history.
After receiving a tip Wednesday. Both city and county drug officers teamed up to bust an active meth lab and HCL generator found in the 3,000 block of Stoneburner Rd. in Warsaw.
Shawn Morton, 50, and his wife, Dawn Morton, 47, were arrested on preliminary charges of felony dealing and making meth.
Police also found marijuana and paraphernalia inside their home.
Undercover officers later charged Adam Shay, 21, with felony possession.
His arrest led SWAT team members to a mobile home park south of Leesburg, where Darshawn Moore, 19, William Sanford, 34, and Rachael Truex, 30, were all arrested on various charges.
Two firearms were found at that residence along with more than 100 small bags containing heroin.
The investigation is ongoing and police say more arrests could be made in the case.
