Charges have been filed against a South Bend man in connection to a crash on US 31.

The crash happened Wednesday morning around 4:30AM on US 31 near Roosevelt Road.

Thursday, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor charged 26-year-old Terrence Collins with ‘Attempting to run from police’, D.U.I, and ‘driving while suspended’.

Police say Collins was driving erratically when he crossed the center line and hit a pick-up truck.

The driver of the pick-up was taken to the hospital and later released.
