It is just a few days away from the beginning of the St. Joseph County 4-H Fair, and that means time to get those projects in.
Folks were out dropping of their work Wednesday afternoon, 4-H-ers did everything from models to woodworking, even scarecrows.
The kids may look forward to the fair mostly for the rides and the food, but for parents, 4-H Projects can teach valuable lessons to their children.
"I put them in there because I thought it would be good for them to have some type of craft for them to do in the summertime and come out, partake in the fair and just see all of the different things that are going on and not just stay in the house,” says 4-H-er Katia Birdie. “It's something for them to do."
The fair starts this Friday and runs through the following Saturday.
