Three adults and a juvenile were arrested early Friday morning in Syracuse after allegedly stealing from a vehicle overnight.
Police responded to the 8100 block of East Backwater Rd. in North Webster around 4:15 after someone called to report his car had been broken into.
As they were heading to the scene, the victim said he saw four men walking along State road 13 north of town.
Police caught up with the group a short time later on the south side of Syracuse and found a bag on one of the suspects containing items that had been described by the victim as stolen.
All four of the men denied knowing anything about the items or the theft, and were taken into custody.
Brandan lajoice and Brice Islas, both of North Webster, and Jacob Honea of Leesburg, all 18-years-old, are now facing preliminary charges of theft and are being held on $2,000 bond.
The fourth person involved was a juvenile, who was released to his parents.
Police are investigating if the suspects have any connection with this summer's recent rash of thefts from vehicles in the area.
