27th annual Kee Boon Mein Kaa Pow Wow to be held this weekend

The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi will be hosting the 27th annual Pow Wow on Labor Day weekend.

Families can take part in basket making, quill work and beading throughout the weekend.

The cultural celebration is free and open to the public at Rodgers Lake in Dowagiac.

Cultural events begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1st. The grand entry takes place at 1 p.m. and competition will run from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

The grounds open at 10 a.m. Sunday, September 2nd. Contest winners will be announced at 4:30 p.m.
