St. Joseph County Warmer weather is hitting the Michiana area this weekend and what better way to spend a beautiful day than out with family or friends?
2014 Ag Days are already in full swing. The weekend long event is completely free and will at the 4-H fairgrounds in St. Joseph County.
Starting Friday morning, kids and of course adults can walk around a room full of exhibits, take part in hands-on activities and meet a few animals.
The main goal is to teach folks where their food comes from and all of the work that goes behind it. On top of all of that, it lets 4-H Club members showcase the work they have been doing all year.
Some will show off their cows, chickens, rabbits, goats and more. All of them will be there to answer any and every question you have.
Ag Days kicked off at 9 Friday morning. It will run from 10 a.m. to p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
In addition to Ag Days, St. Joseph County Soil and Water Conservation District is holding its 28th annual tree sale Saturday. The pre-order deadlines have passed but they are still selling dozens of trees and shrubs. They have 21 different types of trees and shrubs so there is quite a selection.
You can purchase these items this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 while supplies last. They will be on the 4-H fairgrounds in the swine barn. For more details you can call 574-936-2024 extension 4. If you want to preorder for next year, do it before March 1st.
