17 firearms confiscated from convicted felon's home in Howe, Ind.

LaGrange Co., Ind. A flood of tips about a woman wanted by police helped police make a much bigger discovery.

The calls led LaGrange County deputies to a home along East CR 400 North, in the town of Howe.

Inside they uncovered a stash of rifles and shotguns.

In total, 17 firearms were taken from the residence.

That home -- and the guns found inside -- belong to Russell Lewis, 52, a convict with violent felonies on his record.

Because of that history, Lewis isn't allowed to own firearms.

He was arrested and booked into the LaGrange County Jail.

Zabrina Brown, 37, -- the woman police were initially there to arrest -- was taken into custody as well, for maintaining a common nuisance.

Kayla Gates, 27, of Quincy, Michigan was also arrested for a meth violation.
